Cure for a Cough Take 1 pint best old Jamaica Spirits ½ pint Honey ½ ounce Allecompane ½ ounce Indian Turnip Put into an Earthen____ and set it on to simmer toll it becomes a syrup, it must be some time, it should not Boil, take a large Teaspoonful, 2 or 3 times a Day, and at Night going to Bed.

To make an Ointment House-leek one handful Prickley pear one leaf, the prickels must be taken off Night shade one handfulll White Plantain a handful Inner Bark of Edler a handful Stew these Ingredients into as much fresh butter, as will make it an ointment, it must be well stewed in the Butter, and then strained off

A Cure for a violent Lax Take ¼ of an Ounce of pomegranate Shell stew them in a Quart of Water until its reduced to a gill then add near a Quart of milk let it boil once or twice then strain it off and drink it as common Drink

An Excellent Mouth Water Take as much Bold almanack as will lie on the point of a case knive as much Borrax as will lie on a 5 bitt the same quantity of allum as Borrax a littel Hysop & sage a few privey leaves Stew all the Ingredients in a little honey & vinegar about an hour often stirring it & then strain it. It may be taken were the soar are several times in a day.
