Aristoteles Master-Piece, or, The Secrets of Generation. . . (London: Printed for J. How, 1684)

Penn Libraries, Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts, EC65 A100 684a2

This is the first edition of an infamous sex manual that claimed Aristotle as its author. The frontispiece shows, according to the description, “The Effigies of a Maid all Hairy, and an Infant that was born black, by the imagination of the Parents.” It claimed all characteristics were a result of something the mother saw or thought during conception and pregnancy.
